My bantam cochin eggs are missing! The last time they were scanned was two days ago in Baton Rouge! It says they were due for delivery on that day!

Idk on the first I contacted the seller but I haven't heard anything. And the second group was taken on the 1st but when the seller saw hadn't been scanned yesterday he went ahead a sent an other batch today. It hasn't been scanned.... Those are only a three hour drive from me. And the same person as the ones that just hatched. The first ones arrived the next day...

We woke up to another 8 inches of snow this morning. Isn't it supposed to be spring?

On a positive note, I also woke up to 4 newly hatched chicks.

Here are 3 of the 4 babies. You can see Zeo the fully feathered baby. And the yellow was from the green egg. The last out has 5 toes!!

Ok everyone, pasting this from the Hatching 101 article!

It has been suggested that I dont do my research, anyone that knows me and has frequented this thread will be sure to know that......if anyone reads and re-reads the important stuff it is me! I have put weeks and weeks and months and at this point YEARS and more hours than I would EVER care to mention into my articles as well as helping others and throwing new info on this thread, not only for myself but for everyone else! I post with proof and facts in those articles. I post links to confirm almost everything in them!

Is some of the information I gather irrelevant? yes, example playing rock music to annoy my chicks into hatching! But even that has a backing and its true! So YES, I do nit pick a the little stuff and every egg I set is important to me. Its important to me to do the very best I can at anything I attempt, and we are talking life or death here, so I do take it VERY seriously. So if I can get one extra egg to hatch from my own research I will read months to find that one thing that could in fact change stats for that single egg!

My articles are there for helping, THEY WILL NEVER REPLACE YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND "HOMEWORK"! Take time to read the links I have provided in the article, for the article is not based on HEARSAY! This is how the article started, there was way way too much hearsay and I was thoroughly confused at ever turn! I dove in to research for PROOF, and in turn this is how the articles have come about. especially the HATCHING 101 Article!

Sally, don't listen to them. All you can do is pass on your knowledge. What they decide to do with that knowledge is up to them.

Like you said, anyone who knows you, knows that you do your research. You have helped hundreds of people with your article.

All to often peopke on BYC regurgitate info they read on thread. Very few people read back througth threads, let alone read articles eadily available on google

Sally, I for one am delighted with the research you do. I don't often go shopping for articles pertinent to the BYF keeper, however, I LOVE to read science based research articles. I drag the info across my brain cells, and take it out to ruminate on it in my spare time. That is one of the things that makes the BYC forum so interesting... But I can definitely do without the drama. Let's have good discussions about what works well for you and what didn't work so well for me, and what the next guy is trying... but PLEASE, people... enough of the finger pointing regarding who's doing it wrong. Let the evidence prove it'self!
