A converstation with an ebay supplier selling 5 avail buy it now 12+ eggs

Me: Good morning. Could you supply me with 3 doz eggs laid between this Thurs and Sat then shipped this Saturday

Her: Yes that would be $xx.xx but I would send in 2 shipments to ensure freshness of eggs

(I am thinking wow - I found a supplier that has moderate volume and gets shipping)

Me: The price is a little steep but as you are shipping in 2 shipments its ok as long as the eggs ship Saturday

then I get an email

Hi. I will send out 21 eggs tomorrow and another 21 eggs next saturday

Me - I cannot do a staggered hatch. (silly me thinking that this saturday meant THIS SATURDAY) please refund me the second hald of the shipment

her: but i aleady printed both labels

They should be able to "DELETE" the label within 24 hours.... I am a UPS shipper and can do that.......

you think I fret over chicks, you havent a clue until you know what I read on whelping and issues that can come up, and I swear I am never fully prepared no matter how much I read! I get so stressed and full of worry with a litter! Again, mother nature can be cruel so its best to be prepared right? I breed its my responsibility to prepare are my thoughts. I am so excited and worried at the same time, I always go over all my saved research so that I can attempt to reinstall the main issues and know where to run if I am in need of more info. reading for days now! headache for two of them!

one thing I always worry about that I dont know how to purchase OR use is oxygen, which most long time breeders say one should have on hand. any ideas? I dont get many answers on the group I am in about it either. and I am told I should have dopram, but thats rx I think, oh well I think I need a new vet, mine hasnt a clue about breeding and whelping, why cant I find a vet that actually does this stuff! argggg

This weeks hatch is complete as of 11 am, with hatch overnight and two eggs remained but are now tossed. Hatcher cleaned and I will add my next batch in tonight after it steady temp again and dries out a bit, so that all I have to do is add water, this week with the litter due could get nutty so I figured I should simplify the week as much as possible, getting shipping boxes and weights done this evening IF we are not in whelp yet!

We had one bad batch of chicks go out, the post office crushed the top of the box, killed all the brahma and all that remained was serama in the bottom, it was nasty I am told, the post office offered the refund in less than 24 hours, I guess the images and flies grossed them out too. makes me so mad, we dont have issues with stuff running through bethlehem, its always the phila center with eggs and now chicks! I am keeping track and will be sending them my info when I have enough!

Sally, anything I get that comes from the phila area is crushed or badly dented. Doesn't make sense why the package even goes to phila, it HSS to backtrack to get to me.
