I would be patient and wait to see if you have any action from the other eggs. If you cant bring yourself to wait have a bottle of warm water to spritz on the eggs. Congrats on the Christmas baby.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey everyone I have a vital question...can the baby chick that is out of its shell handle heat in the incubator 100-101 degrees? There is no place from her to away from the heat and she is panting and has her wings out...gurr but there is another chick about to hatch so I am afraid to open the bator...I vented with some holes will this be ok or do I take her out?

There is a sign of another one...there is a wiggle and a small crack...so I turned the light off for a few seconds brought the temp down to 99 and added a medicine dropper of water threw a hole to bring humidity up...I hope I'm doing the right thing, thought everyone was off line so thank you for the advice

If there is a crack or pip , just leave her in there and watch her, she should be fine up to 101 degrees for awhile hopefully your other egg will hatch soon , we dont have any family stuff on christmas , its just me and my son so I have time to get on line lol

Kelly I think you are doing fine. Big thing is just to keep the humidity up for your hatchers. Your chick will be fine as long as the temp does not go too high.

Merry Christmas everyone! My lil chick chirped all night and waited until we were unwrapping gifts to unwrap herself! Best gift ever! Thank you everyone for your encouragement and support during my first hatch! I couldn't of done it with out you all!

awww is she a pretty red peepers??? YAY!!! CONGRATS!! see you had "this" all along!!! YAYAYYAYAYAY

What temp would be to high in a still air styrofoam container? This is a home-made incubator so vents are small holes we made to regulate heat. I had them closed up earlier with the heat on in the room and the temp went up to 102, but I noticed it in time when she was panting...the room is usually the coolest in the house...It has been hard regulating the heat ..I hope the others are ok
