Wow, that you for the info! I'm looking for White Face Spanish and Java eggs as both breeds are extremely rare this side. There are only 60 Spanish breeding hens in the UK and I found only one breeder of Javas so far. I'd love to breed the Spanish, but the gene pool is so small it's nearly impossible not to inbreed, that's why I'm looking at importing eggs from the US. If possible. I believe I will need a permit to import "poultry products" and there's some paperwork needed from the supplier in the US as well.
here is the paperwork required for the EU fron USA

how many - depends if i use my scientific calculator or the special chicken math one.

by june I will have four coops capable of housing 32 hens each. I will add half a dozen of the coops I saw on this link last night for starter breeds and see how I go from there.

I want I want I want

9 degrees here in New Hampshire...could reach -25! With heat and a heat lamp my coop is reading 29 degrees! My poor babies! What is the coldest these guys can be comfortable in? I don't want to push it either. I have 4 ducks and 4 chickens ..3 that are huddling 1 alone brooding! And 1 bunny
Celsius or Farenheit???

A few mine have some black spots on comb.... but they seem ok, I havent lost any, and they are still locked inside due to cold and wind.....

not yet but i will get something this weekend.

i checked out shipping eggs to ireland. its USD 75 for a 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" box. That would hold 20 eggs if we used my foam inserts from texaspoultry, com.

The real issue is the time it takes - 3-5 days. You would need eggs all laid within 3 days.

Let me know if you want me to set something up.

Too bad I cant carry them for you.
OMG OZ no time to shake an egg!!
