Does anyone have opinions on the hovabator genesis 2012 that has temp/humidity panel or the digital reptibator?

I have the 2012 hovabator genesis and I love it! It's definitely worth the money.

I literally plug it in and leave. It's that simple. It gets right up to the correct temperature and stays there. My room temperature fluctuates a lot, but even so the genesis keeps a constant temperature.

Does yours have the humidity reader on it too? Does it keep the humidity well too? And do you feel your hatch rate has improved because of having a digital incubator vs just a still air or even a circulated air?

Yes, mine has the humidity reader on it and the incubator does keep humidity fairly well. When hatching, if I open the incubator, I can usually expect the humidity to be back up in 2 minutes which is much faster than my still air hovabator.

And yes I feel that my hatch rates have improved, but so far, I've only used the incubator for shipped eggs. When I had the still air, I was having to check the temperatures 4 times a day and I was always worried about them fluctuating. With the genesis, I never have to worry. Also, my temperatures have been more accurate. Each hatch happened right on day 21 and I never had to adjust the incubator.

I have a couple cockerels one is only a few months old he already tries to boss me. He will grab my jeans with his beak and peck my feet. He won't be lasting around here much longer. My Terrorist as I named him is in solitary confinement for his behavior. He has still managed to peck my hands a couple times. If I didn't want him for breeding he would be chicken soup already. He does this thing where he comes running up to me and acts like he found something to eat and makes me drop my guard and then he attacks. Usually just my feet and legs since he is so big he can't get much higher than that.

Whatever happened with the carefree set and forget hatch that you were doing? Did they all hatch?

Can you have a vet examine him? You can't really make a decision until you know exactly what's going on. It sucks when it's one of our favourites, hey?

Halo has a broken leg or hip or something, one leg hangs he cant stand or walk.


last serama hatch 12 hatch out of 14 shipped eggs (one weak but is running around today)

batch of CPL misc eggs was also a great hatch, I think I had a few malpositions? heck I cant remember either! LOL
