MAGNIFICENT COMB AND WATTLES! :D White earlobes too.

I was holding Sophie by the top of the cage to get a picture, and Basil came up to be with her! (Sophie is shy and was distress peeping because she is scared of me)

And when I put Sophie back in, Basil decided she wanted out!!!

Girl on the left, boy on the right?

She is getting huge! Holy! Still another month until I get some eggs from her!

So, do you think I have two girls and a boy??? (Sophie being the boy-ish looking one with the short, brown feathers) If Sophie is a boy, he is a very friendly one! I am prepared to change his name to Sammy or Sam if needed.

Hope is making these very long buuuuuuuurk sounds.... What does this mean?? XD If I make fake clucking noises or don't let her climb all over the keyboard (which she is trying desperately to do) she gets in my face and stares while going "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrk buuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk" and I push her away from my face and pet her. i have had her peck my eye once before and it wasn't fun. lol

I don't respond to these kinds of posts very often, but here we go.

Sally, it's time. You need to chose. Either take him to the vet, or put him out of his misery. He is in pain and needs relief of one sort or another. He is a chicken, he can't 'look forward' to a time when he will not be in pain, all he knows right now is that he is in pain. I think that it's fairly obvious at this point that he's not going to get better without medical intervention. It's a hard, heart wrenching decision, and my heart goes out to you. To keep him like this may salve your own heart, but he hurts. Many hugs! I know it is so hard to make a decision like this! My thoughts and good vibes go out to you.

Can you tell me the following:

- has he got diarrhoea?
- can he still use his wings?
- what does his eyes look like?
- what does his comb look like?
- is he eating and digesting the food?

CHICKES!!! They're so pretty!!!! My silkie Cappa should start laying in a week or two :-D and the 6 remaining chicks I have are getting big! I can't wait to get my Mille Fleur chick

Oh also, while we were at the chicken place yesterday, I almost bought this amazing mille fleur rooster but unfortunately it's illegal to have a roo in my town ): and turns out I had just missed the hens they had by like only an hour!
