Before anyone gets offended, that was a dig on myself, not anyone here. I'm actually pretty proud of my Appalachian heritage. Sad, though, that my legs are evening out after this time spent out on the prairie.

Good luck with the build, Doug. No experience with that thermostat module, but hopefully it'll be big enough to get the job done in that big a space for you. I put two fans in mine behind a false wall in the back, along with the heat source.

Oz, you'll have to share the auto turner making process. Sounds like a very interesting idea.

Doug-I think your brooder is awesome. Your chicks are living in luxury. Mine get a big plastic tote bucket and a red light. I do think i am going to try sand this time. I hate messing with pine shavings. I have sand in my big coop and love it.

You go MaMa I did that a long time ago, when I figured out a few things (1) peeps keep taking paypal and not sending eggs, I understand the situation of not laying, but WHY are you still playing (2) It sometimes cost more to send then its worth. (3) You don't always get what you think you are getting.
How can these folks afford to get so far behind on spring egg and be able to send them out. CRAAAAAZY Oh did I mention all the bickering

What a difference missing a day makes!!!! When my headache started yesterday, this chick was all chocolate colored. Now it has tan all over it! WHAT!?!
