Hey guys I need advice....I have a guy shipping eggs and he says he didn't understand how I explained the packing I wanted. He says he packs his by wrapping each egg with bubble wrap then puts bubble wrap along each side of the box and then fills the void inside with pine shavings. Would pine shavings be ok or should I ask for styrofoam peanuts or shredded paper? This is what I've wrote him so far will u guys tell me if I'm explaining the double boxing thing clearly.....

How you pack them sounds great but if at all possible could u try to pack them fat end up? That's exactly how I was trying to explain i would like them packed but I usually ask for the box of eggs to be put in a slightly larger box wih styrofoam peanuts or shredded paper all inside the larger box filling the space between the large box and the outside of the smaller box of eggs which just acts as a shock absorber. Does that make any sense? I never thought of using pine shavings. Shipping on Monday is fine with me.
I think I posted a pic of double boxed..... if anyone can beat me to any pics of this have at it..... brb

The batch in lack down right now were wrapped in bubble wrap and put in shavings very tightly packed. I think they were big end up as well. He also used those heavy duty cardboard supports in the box. Only the one box. They were packed really well and made the trip from PA to OK perfect.

you can see the box in this image, that 12x12 box had a smaller box in it and that box even FIT 17 DUCK EGGS! yup 17!
and shipping was 8 bucks!

Thanks! So do u think I should insist on the double box? what do u think about pine shavings and would those even work between boxes?
By the way I've been meaning to tell u that I'm so sorry about all your broody an duck issues! It sucks I've been there. Hugsxoxoxoxo

You have to know what kinda person your dealing with, your welcome to shoot that image to him so he ":gets it".

Did you use oz's letter when you ordered? or what has been stated?

No, I preordered these over two months ago. These are the ones I posted about yesterday. He just acts like he's being putout or I'm too demanding maybe I just feel like hat because I normally don't demand thing things of people. But I paid $30 for 6 shipping included but he last ones that weren't double boxes were really shook up and only 2 developed outta 13 and all but maybe 1 had bullseyes. What do u think about the shavings though, it just seem like to me that wouldn't absorb the shock as much as shredded paper?
