Their heads are smaller than the marbles!!! I feel like I'm missing out. But, Alas, DH would kill me if I asked him to build me one more pen. He had to build me a new brooder tonight for your batch of chicks. LOVE THEM!!! They are Yeti!! 1 Brahma, 2 Blue & 4 Splash Cochin!! The legs are sooo furry!

SALLY! I know you are busy with your hubs right now (as you should be). Just wanted to tell you the eggs look great! Only one that im concerned with right now and it has a rather large saddle shaped air cell. The other silliest have some rolling cells but hey only move about in the big end of the egg, they do not go to the sides or any other place but the top. The adorable tiny eggs (serama?). All are perfect. I hope they are fertile because anything that comes out of an egg that cute is already my favorite.

LOL if they are not, I will have fertiles at some point! One of the serama eggs DH said was in front of the waterer in the corner, it was 2 days older than the rest. that's why it has a bigger cell.
I realized today why they are laying so horrible, first its lighting, now its molt! white feathers everywhere, not sure which one is molting yet!

They are constantly on a cement floor (with hay) and none of the others have this problem. His beak just grows extremely fast. Part of his lower beak was broken off during the fight which makes his top beak look worse.

I was looking for the clippers the other day and I couldn't find them. I look again tomorrow.

DH is doing really good, not too much of a crybaby. unless I touch him, then its ooooo aaaaaa blabbbabbb blabbbaaa

He knows he better not cry too much, he has little holes in his belly compared to me, when I had Emerg C section cut from belly button down and he wouldn't get up to help me up when the baby was crying OR even get the baby! Stubborn me, just cried and did what I had to do. I hated him back then, he had serious mean issues. But so over that now, but I NEVER FORGET, so he can MAN UP now! HA! told ya..... it always comes back to ya in some shape or form, good or bad!

I haven't gotten a fertile Serama egg yet, but boy can they breed the D'Uccles! I've gotten 100% with them..

its a random india blue mix - could be anything - just an experiment to give away if it hatches

Awww... Be Gentle with him Sally! The nicer you are, the more he'll probably realize what a schmuck he was back then! Guilt can get lots of projects done!
