Good Morning. The hatch is over. I ended up with 29 chicks out of 34 that went into lockdown. Ill do the eggtopsy this afternoon when I clean out the bator.

I just started raising them. How old are those chicks? All of mine are feathered at 3 and 4 weeks.

About 3 weeks. All of them have a good bit except that one.

Depends when really. The ones I want to cull from the groups will go on sale first once I now if there roos or hens. Also depends on the breed also. HRIR and the LB take longer to mature. Really don't know what you have in color, type etc till around 9 months. The Delawares a bit sooner than that. I try to sell them first. But don't wait too long. I love beer in the butt chicken on the grill. LOL It's usually the poor roos that get it. Hens go fast. Roo's not so much really. Harder to sell here. Processing is no big deal with me. Been doing it a long time. Doesn't take me very long at all. But I usually only do 1-2 chickens at a time.

NPIP testing today...finally after trying to get a tester out for 2 months.

Cochins-that is really weird about the mold. I hope it is contained and the rest of your eggs are fine.

Who do you contact for NPIP testing?? How much is it?
