Trouble sleeping in the hatcher

OMG someone just shoot me! I got my WFS eggs today and they were all air cell down, so I thanked the seller and let them know how their packaging was good, no broken eggs and then I proceeded to let them know that I had a bunch of rolling air cells, and that is what caused by having shipped them air cell down in the egg cartons.... As it turns out STUPID me TOLD them to send them double boxed, they even ice packed them and I TOLD THEM AIR CELL DOWN!!! DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I am idiot! truly idiot! I need to learn how to write and take my time! and perhaps proofread before hitting enter!!

One more baby is out! So far the are all identical - silvery black with fuzzy legs and cream bellies and wing tips. I suspect the Cuckoo Marans to be the daddy LOL!

No, that is the problem. We are going on yet another egg hunt tomorrow and hopefully I will find something for her to hatch

I haven't been very successful in my efforts to find fertile eggs so far. And forget about duck eggs! Only one guy who wanted to sell us Muscovy eggs @ R50.00 per egg. I can buy a whole duck for that.

Update: I got some eggs! We walked across the road and through the veld, went from house to house asking the people living up there if they have chickens and can they sell us some eggs. 3 Of them have chickens and I managed to talk one out of parting with 5 eggs

Yay! Pics, please? How's the assisted chick doing? 

LOL! So far tonight I have had the batteries in TWELVE flashlights die - unbelievable!! I actually threw the kids in the car and ran to the gas station to get 2 very expensive 2 packs of AAs so I could keep one flashlight working. Then of COURSE my camera batteries die and it needs another 2 batteries.... *sigh* I was going to go to bed at 2 but my 2 year old decided to get up then. So here we both sit watching chicks hatch, LOL! I have a feeling that the ones that haven't even pipped yet probably aren't going to - but we'll see. I worked a little more on Slow Poke the assisted chick and all is well. He's just very comfortable right where he is, LOL! You can watch him dream, make funny faces in his sleep, yawn, open his eyes look around - and then he snuggles back down in his shell to sleep some more, LOL! I had to remove the first two hatchlings as they were pecking at his eye :/ The other ones are running over him but not actually pecking at him so I think he's OK for now. So far I have all black chicks except the one and only RIW egg that has hatched - which is also a mix. I have one other RIW egg with a pipp but I have a feeling the others aren't with us anymore. But, I hope I am wrong. The only ones I am wanting to keep are any that I can tell will be Easter Eggers/Olive Eggers (meaning my Lav Ameraucana is the daddy) and the rest go to my BF. SO far I think I see beards on 2 of the black chicks. But they are still so damp its hard to know. I see a lot of slate legs but I don't remember how many of the hens have dark legs at birth too.

Ugh, I can not get my 2 year old back to bed and I haven't slept yet, but my 6 year old will be up in an hour, LOL! UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!
