ya know the lil sticky note that said "do not get circuit board wet?" well i guess puppy didn't read that! now to see if either one will hold a temp!!!
Thanks, Brian! If I see veining on my own egg in a week, I'll be hooping and a'hollering a happy dance all over! LOL!congratulations kodster! it gets easier as you go. now that your getting your own eggs it should get much easier.
Ouch! Time to make a coolerbator!well..my puppy probably just ruined my chances for hatching any chickies for a lady from work! i had 17 eggs in my bator on day 3 and puppy got the zoomies and somehow managed to get both the turner cord and the incubator cord wrapped around her leg and took that bator AND my mini brinsea off the shelf! the brinsea was empty... we'll see if it got broken and the other one..a cheapie farm innovator that wasn't the best to begin with was upside down and full of scrambled eggs!!!ya know the lil sticky note that said "do not get circuit board wet?" well i guess puppy didn't read that! now to see if either one will hold a temp!!!![]()

OH NO! That stinks! I am constantly chasing my "broody cat" off my bator starting yesterday. For all my other hatches he was content to sit next to it - now for some reason he needs to sit ON ITwell..my puppy probably just ruined my chances for hatching any chickies for a lady from work! i had 17 eggs in my bator on day 3 and puppy got the zoomies and somehow managed to get both the turner cord and the incubator cord wrapped around her leg and took that bator AND my mini brinsea off the shelf! the brinsea was empty... we'll see if it got broken and the other one..a cheapie farm innovator that wasn't the best to begin with was upside down and full of scrambled eggs!!!ya know the lil sticky note that said "do not get circuit board wet?" well i guess puppy didn't read that! now to see if either one will hold a temp!!!

I am going to try locking both down early on day 16 as I read to do for shipped eggs. Just can't decide if I should hatch in cartons or laying down... sigh. Maybe I should lay down those with good air cells and leave the wonky ones in the cartons? Or maybe the exact opposite? I have rubbed off on a friend who now has hatching fever too, LOL! She is driving 4 hours round trip to go get us some of these eggs https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/803538/15-rare-chicken-eggs-shipping-included and I am still waiting to hear that my precious Sweet Potato Quechua and Colloncas eggs have shipped. I really want to have a good methodology for shipped eggs before they get here
