adding I also dont have the room to keep a bunch of birds separated from my flock until I can test them either

i guess i should have warned you about that. another thing that's good to know: if you have separate buildings and a serious issue arises that requires quarantine; you will only have to quarantine the birds in the infected building(s).

I got a few eggs today! Lights are working!
Yay! I haven't eaten an egg since before the broodies started sitting and the 13 eggs I did get before went broody AGAIN are now running around looking cute and eating me out of the coop. Guess I can't have it all?

oh I will add, those eggs are bluer than the CCL eggs! but they are young and color does tend to green as they get older so we shall see what happens with her! My WFS lay and lay and lay, like MADNESS so if I can get blue eggs in that abundance I will be a happy camper, I wish I would have hatched more hens but I had two hens and 5 roos with the test and I gave a hen to a friend with a roo. That left me with one hen as trial.

Quote: lol since last weekend! WFS and Serama are amazing layers no matter what. CCL and Brahma need beating though!

Its trying to snow, we only have a few inches not the foot they are calling for, I think they said they want most last into tonight early am and then just like that it ends. Kid wants to sled, I didnt let him, there isnt enough to support his crazyness and I dont wish driving to ER in this either! Its getting dark soon time to go empty some waterers and lock them chickens down for the night!
