this is to PROVE I am working on it! not sure why the font keeps changing sizes on that stupid WIX site I am using! I think I will try another webbuilder before I go further on this, this one is a pain and no matter what it does what it wants with the wording, even overriding settings!!! grrrrrr My thoughts are I will end up with ten sites until I have the LOOK I am seeing in my head!

i am right there with you - i am done with rare breeds and dealing with special care. im going back to the regular old dual purpose breeds, and chickens that i dont have to research genetics on for a year to breed right. ive started learning that the rare breeds are rare for a reason - no one wanted to breed them because of an issue in the breed. now the lines have gotten so there is not much diversity, making the problems even worse.

In the Philippines - the chicken I get the most requests for is.... The Rhode Island Red.

I am giving up on basques and bresse. My beautiful black bresse roo will get the chop on Friday. He is 26 weeks old so perfect for eating but I have yet to be able to hatch him some girls.

Heritage breeds, chocolate, blue and green egger breeds, SFH and Salmon Favs are it for me. We have 13 coops. Enough already

most of us who raised basque aren't happy with them. the bresses i dont know alot about, havent had them here. i may get back into marans, but only if i can figure out how to get them from Bev Davis herself. i will not buy any more barnevelders - the better the bird's appearance, the more issues they seem to have.

green egger breeds are out for me, i refuse to breed something that doesn't breed true.

i will probably keep some salmon faverolles, i havent had them long enough to know how they are. sweedish flower hens on the other hand i refuse to spend any more money on. fertility seems awful, my friend Bob finally got some started and he isnt happy at all with their laying.
