Hi guys, sorry so quiet. The cancer fight is taking all I have to give. Chickens still dying too - I think we are down to 50% or less alive :( Is it OK for me to share the cancer fundraiser page I just made on GiveForward?

sure! and your kidding me.... what is final diagnosis? so terrible

Harmony has 10 out of 11 eggies hatched! We threw one away no movement and no "dip down" so presume it died around day 18-19

Sally question for you.. I have a lady friend I just met- we are both crazy chicken ladies- anyway she recently fired up her old incubator she was telling me it was old but computerized and mentioned 97.5 as the temp- I told her this seemed low- she looked it up realized it was, can she save these eggs she is two weeks in. thanks!

Um I missed a lot. A lot of life has happened lately and some of it is pretty sucky. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I will probably be having surgery next week.

I gave all my extra roosters away today. Dealing with keeping them frost bite free and their water ice free was getting to be too much for me. I do have my incubators out and full of eggs. Only expecting about 50% fertile as the cold has been horrible and I have not trimmed up any backsides. I will keep whatever hatches out of this hatch and grow out. As soon as it warms up some I will trim everyone up and get the fertility rate up. Then maybe I will look into selling hatching eggs or maybe I will just sell chicks.

If she runs dry and has upped temps she may or may not be ok.... its really bad to have a low temp... I would suggest if she has a fan in it to get it up to 101.5 IF SHE IS SPOT ON WITH THE TEMPS! I dont like to tell people this because most people havent a clue if they are spot on or not, its guesswork :( Did you see what her aircells looklike? were they shipped or local eggs and what breeds? I think dolfi said something about her incubator wouldnt go higher for some reason too!

yea my temperature was also at 97 for ten days. I did have to assist a few chicks but had a good hatch on my mix. yet I wasn't that successful on the shipped ones.
