Nice hen, pretty barring. I did my second to last candling yesterday and I was able to knock down the number of eggs in my incubator from 73 to 68. Did I mention that I have these in a hova bator with a turner. I've officially become that crazy lady who stacks eggs in her incubator.

I had had two eastern black turkey eggs sitting on one of the bottom tiers. They had come in the mail and they had really bad air cells. I had put them in there and I had completely forgotten about them thinking that they didn't really have much of a chance. My daughter and I were sitting here at the computer the other day when we heard a fierce chirping. One of them had hatched. It would have made a perfect escape like the pic that Kathy had posted that time except for the fact that there were two layers of eggs on top of it. Once I took them off, it popped right out without even having to break the umbilical cord, the inside of the egg looked perfect. The other egg had a perfectly formed poult but it was horribly malpositioned and had probably died a couple of days ago. I had the humidity at 36% for incubation and for hatch.
yeah here is this the eggs that my ducklings hatched from we only had one die in the shell thank goodness but he was a wrong end pipper and piped though a vein

and here is a video (sorry i have the proud mama syndrome)

I'm thinking about doing an experiment. We bought two used Incufridge's for the lab we have yet to set up, so I'm thinking about trying to incubate some pea eggs in it. Has anyone ever done this with one?

I've got a ton of Eggs going strong in a food dehydrator. ..anything that will hold the right temperature and humidity will work I would say. Eggs don't know the difference. 99 degrees is 99 degrees to them.

Quote: Exactly my situation too! Dont know if I will keep them or not. I may fall for the beauty though

i have a question to those of whom hatch turkey eggs do these have life? candle day 11

I cant really tell, turkey let in a bit yet if they dont stink candle again just to be sure, then break out look for fertility and early growth, there are links in the 101 that show fert at early age as it looks dif than unincubated
