Question for all of you... What causes a chick to externally pip, zip about an inch, then keep turning, but not zipping and it suffocates because it original hole and zip are then blocked by it's body?

Foot over head...that was the problem you had with all your chick's when we first met.
what kind of chicken is that? Is it still alive?
It's a peachick and it's doing fine!

i'm wondering my self i had a duckling that pipped on the wrong end and started to zip but stopped about halfway and seemed to just give up

I'm not going to hatch any more of my peafowl eggs this year, so if any of you are interested, you can have them. Since I'm not set up with stuff to send eggs in, you'd have to send me the box and materials along, preferably with a return label. Just let me know how many eggs you want and I'll weigh them so you can print you USPS label. Once I get my act in gear and get supplies to mail them I can do all that, but as of now I have many eggs that can't wait for me, lol. No worries, if no one wants them, I'll just eat them.

6 out of 6 shipped eggs (that weren't scrambled/no development) hatched out yesterday no problems.

I have been leaving them in the octagon Turner because I'm lazy and have other eggs in there. We'll see how it turns out I guess!

Wow, I'm going to be keeping an eye on this thread!

Have you read through the sticky thread in this section? There's some fantastic info in there. Helped me enormously when I had a go at hatching eggs.

Best of luck with your hatch!
