How do I bookmark? I just keep copying and pasting this stuff onto one big Word document.
 
I hatched 9 Serama babies from shipped eggs last week... how old are they before I can see frizzled feathers coming in? I have two frizzled hens I hatched in July but I can't remember when their feathers were noticeable because they were with my broody... I was just surprised one day!

you should be able to start to see the wing tips shoot out more sideways in frizzles about a week if you look close! and then by two you should be able to tell for sure!

You helped me through my first hatch around 1.5 yrs ago and now I'm hoping you could help me again. I'm on day 16 on my 2nd incubation for chicken eggs and had a detached air cell egg that looked like it was growing along with the rest but could never see motion whereas the others looked great with good movement etc. I was going to candle again tonight and remove the one egg but when I got back from dinner it had exploded. I posted the message below in the sept hatch a long thread but really value your advice. Please let me know what I could do, if anything. Thanks.

HELP!!!

One of my eggs exploded in the incubator while I was out to dinner and the contents got on two other eggs. Not much but some splatter. I removed the bad egg but what can I safely use to clean the eggs that got hit with the nastiness? Most of the "goo" has already dried on the shells. I wiped what I could with a dry paper towel. I can't get the really dried on stuff off though. Should I use an Emory board?


This stinks, both literally and figuratively.
