Diary of a Chicken Tender...

My little EE is not doing well. And I don't think she's an EE, she has feathers on her feet! Got some nutri drench down her, but not much. Is there a best way to do this? I have been searching forums for feeding sick chicks but no luck yet.

Lost the little chick. She was well on her way out the door last night and was gone this morning. I had to work 12 hours today, so I didn't get to spend much time with the chicks before they went to bed. My husband found a second chick dead this afternoon. From the same bin as the one we already lost-- that tank was so full of chicks, so much stress, maybe no food or water...poor things. The other two from that bin seem lively and well, as do the BCM and Salmon Faverolles. All the chicks from Farm & Fleet are doing great! Can't wait to start giving them treats and get them back out in the barn, hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday when the weather finally gets more tolerable!

April 8. Lazy, fun day today. The Cuckoo Marans/ EEs group loves to hang out on top of their MHP.

The light Brahmas/ Sussex / Welsummers group loves their nipple waterer and running around!

The BCM / newest group still hangs out under MHP mostly. The wings of the BCM actually stick out from their sides a bit. None of the others do this!

This is Pringle. She's a Salmon Faverolle and quickly becoming a favorite!
