It is safe to put in your house and in your garden. I had an early emergence of fleas from my dog. So after vacuuming a sprinkeled some in her bedding, the cats bedding and on the couches. All the fleas are gone. Ive heard you can sprinkle it straight on your lawn to help control mites and fleas. Ive heard if you place it in the chickens dust bath that it helps with lice and fleas. I have my first flock and ive put it in the bedding. So far I've not had any problems. Putting it in their food is controversial in animals. Some say it can damage the intestine. However chickens eat rocks and that is far worse I'd think. I like the suggestion that it can help control fly maggots in poop. Never thought of that. I've also heard that if you make a paste of it with olive oil and rub it inside the outer part of animal ears it kills ear mites. I bought a 10 pound bag for 11 dollars on amazon. Food grade of course. Ive hardly used any and it seems to work.
One thing to be careful of though is it can damage human lungs easily. So wear a mask! Gotta take care of ourselves!
Good luck!
