Diatomaceous earth (DE)

I was wondering how successful DE is for those of you who use it regularily,and what it's prevented,,I have been using it for 1 year now,with great success,,but I hear it' doesn't work effectively for some...Let me know your experiences with it
I use it in the feed,and dust the hens 1 time a month,and sprinkle it unerd the bedding inside the coop,as well as in the sand they use for dustbathing..

I sprinkle it in the coop to keep things dried out and hopefully as a mite preventative. That's all.

I add it to sand for dust bathing and on the coop floor after cleaning it out. So far so good, no pest issues.
