Diatomaceous Earth, I have questions!

I finally found a bag of DE right under my nose, at the feed store we go to every week!

Due to previous posts, I was very cautious about the brand and contents. Here's what I found.

The bag was similar to a vacuum cleaner bag, just bigger. 50 pounds, I didn't think it was going to make it! But it did.

There is not ingredient list on the front or back.
Made in USA. Yeah!!!

It is pure white, thank goodness. No ash added.

I got this at Yuma Feed and Livestock Supply. About $23 for 50 pounds. WAY cheaper than what I found on the internet, and no shipping costs!

QUESTIONS:

1. Has anyone successfully rid their property or home of cockroaches with this?

2. Has anyone EATEN this stuff with good or bad results? I've read testimonials, but I'd like to hear directly from someone who is on here.

3. The feed guy said it didn't make a difference on the fly population at his place. He has cows and horses. But it's getting rave reviews on this site. Has anyone here had success with fly control using this around pigs or cows?

4. Anything else I should know about DE?

My daughter and I both eat DE (food grade of course). It has seemed to truly help her with cramping at that time of the month. I'm so messed up physically that I'm not sure if it's helping me or not.. yet.

I have a girlfriend who also eats it and she has most definitely seen improvement in her health since starting it.

If this can help me with detox-ing, I might try it. My doctor gave me huge pills fro chelation therapy, but I can't swallow them. I smashed them up and put them in yogurt, egads, it was all I could do to keep from throwing up.

try your local brewery/microbrewery...they use DE for filtration and would probably sell you a bag.​

If you DID start eating DE, would you eat the stuff we have? Would it be the same as everyone is getting from the frou-frou internet sites?

DE binds the toxins in your gut. If you can't commit to eating totally organic, there are toxins in your gut that will eventually be absorbed into your body. (bad hair, poor complexion, high blood pressure, cholesterol, joint pains, etc., etc., etc.) As long as the DE is Food Grade, it's safe for humans. DE is mainly Silica, a material known for a long time to be good for humans. Mine has the ash mixed in...................makes it taste "dirty", but ash is good for humans also. Ash absorbs poisons from pesticides and heavy metals. DE is good stuff.

All that said, I just started taking it yesterday.............at the insistence of my natural medicine doctor.
