I have called all of the surrounding area garden centers and feed stores. I'm trying to to find some locally without any luck.

Does anyone live around East Central Indiana and know where to find some local DE??? I can buy it on the net for about $1 a pound including shipping and found it at a couple garden centers but it is $2-$3 a pound.

DE is used in pool filters, try a pool supply store in your local area.

DE sold at pool supplies will probably kill your chickens. unless is says Food grade on it. Do a search on here about DE. marrie

find your local brewpub or microbrewery...most use DE powder for filtration of beer, others use DE filter boards....which are of no use to you.

There is a place in Bloomington that seels food grade DE, I don't know the name of the place but will ask my husband when he gets home and let you all know. There is also a feed store in Brownsburg that carries it.
