I read that food grade diatomaceous earth was good to add to your feed, but I see many different suggestions for how much to add. What do you guys do? Do you notice any benefits?

Cheers,

Lori

I do not use it myself, and there are varying opinions, but from what I hear, it doesn't actually help in any way. At least it doesn't help get rid of internal parasites. It can help with external ones though.

I hope this helps.

Just 2-4 pinches (like you would salt to a recipe) per cup is all you need. Yes, you can add a bit to their food. We actually use it a fine base layer in our coop and run to keep absorb moisture as well as to allow them to keep mites and other external parasites off our girls.
