Can l mix this in their feed to prevent/control worms? If so , ls there a formula for this. I want to treat the whole flock. I cant catch them without help as l am dissabled. Any other ideas that may help me?

Unfortunately, Diatomaceous earth is completely ineffective as a wormer. What type of worms do you suspect? Most wormers can be put in water for flock dosing.

Absolutely not.
Not only does it not prevent worms...It will not cure a worm infestation.

This is the only product on the market right now that you can mix with water.
The rest of the deworming medicines need to be given straight to the beak.

You shouldn't give dewormer if the chickens have no worms. These medicines are not harmless.
DE is not a medicine. The sellers claim that it helps to prevent a worm infestation if you mix it in the food. But some people here say it doesn’t help. :idunno Difficult to claim something if its used for prevention.

In general. just trying to be proactive. Have not seen any yet, Just dont want to see any. lol. Can you recommend something to put in their water?
9 times out of 10 you will never see a worm unless you deworm the bird.
The worms prefer to stay inside and the only reason they will come out on their own is because there is absolutely no room left inside for them to stay.

It is impossible for DE to kill anything in a moist or wet environment.
There is absolutely no way in the world It could use to prevent or kill intestinal worms.

I think its works after the chickens poop. The DE in the poop dries and the larvae get killed outside the chickens. The soil stays reasonably free of worms.
Its no problem to have a few worms ( most worms) for a healthy chicken. Only a mayor infestation can harm a chicken badly.

The agricultural research centre here (WUR) claims its better to monitor and not use dewormers as long as its below a certain level. This advice is written for the farmers. But not bad to follow this advice for hobbyist either if you have a reliable vet. Or you can send it to a laboratory yourselves if you understand what you should do with the outcome.

Worms cannot survive outside their host, so they're going to die anyway.
So it's no problem for a healthy chicken to have a few worms? What exactly are the worms doing internally?
