I wouldn't say it's impossible for one to lay ay 14 weeks. It may have developed faster. If you did not hatch them yourself the age could be off a week or two.

I have seven 28 week old laying pullets. I also have four 14 week old red sexlinks. I got 8 eggs today. So, did one of my older girls lay 2 eggs? Because 14 weeks is awfully early for one of the sexlinks, rights? And it was a good size egg. Not one of those small first timer eggs.
I got them from tractor supply and they had just gotten the delivery in while I was there. So I'm guessing they're pretty accurate on age.I wouldn't say it's impossible for one to lay ay 14 weeks. It may have developed faster. If you did not hatch them yourself the age could be off a week or two.
All of my eggs are collected by 2pm but I double check the boxes after dark when I lock everything up. By then they are all roosting. What time did you get your eggs yesterday and today? (Estimate)
I really dont think it's a sexlink. They are red but wattles and comb are still pretty small. Probably not anyone in the house. My kids are 9 and under and I dont think husband would do it.More likely an older one, I think, but I'm not certain.
Depending on when you gathered the eggs yesterday and today, it *might* be possible that a pullet laid one egg yesterday evening and another this evening, but they both got collected "today." Maybe.
About the young ones: you could pick them up and look at their vents.
Most will be a perfect example of a not-laying vent: small & puckered.
The older pullets will give a perfect example of a laying hen's vent: larger, moister, looks stretchy. If one of the young ones has a layer's vent, then you have your answer.
And the other possible explanation--is there a practical joker in the household?
Because an egg from a previous day, that was put back in the nest, would be a perfectly logical explanation![]()
I'm honestly shocked I'm getting as many as I am still. Our days are getting shorter already.Hmmm. Could one have laid a late egg yesterday that didn't get collected until today? No, that won't work. It's supposed to be 25 hours between eggs. Let's see if @aart has a clue.
