2 different people came and got Eric and Goldie from Farmer's Feed.

About a week after we sent them there to be re-homed, Andy, the rooster we kept, was found dead in our outer run.

No signs of any external damage...it looked like he literally just fell over and died.

If you did get Eric and Goldie, I'm not saying they're going to die, but I found it very odd for a Juvenile Rooster to just "up and die".

I know it wasn't genetic, Eric's mom and dad were killed in a dog attack and were much older when they met their demise.

Goldie's mom is still alive and well, too...

Anyway, sorry to ramble, it's just FYI if anyone took either of my roos that is a board member here.

It's not too terribly unusual for a chicken to just up and die. I have had a few, mostly hens at point of lay, just up and die. Over a few hundred birds, I've had this happen to about 4. 3 which of were hens. Hopefully nothing was wrong and that Eric and Goldie are being quarantined in their new homes just in case.

Good luck!
