Did I get another roo?

Is this Salmon Favorelle a roo or pullet? It’s supposed to be a pullet. This one does not look like the other three I have. They are 22 weeks old.

The photo at the end with the two are what my other three look like.

Are you sure she's a Salmon Faverolles? She looks like she might be mixed to me.

Phew! She is plenty assertive for her fellow girls and the 10 week Brahmas. With the slightly different neck coloring and the comb being bigger and redder I was getting worried.

At 22 weeks a cockerel's comb would be RED. The size and color of comb is appropriate for a 22 week old pullet.

This is a picture of a salmon faverolle rooster from the cackle hatchery website. You can see that his chest, feet, and tail are all black. I can't see your bird's tail, but her chest and legs are pale, which is the female color pattern.

I agree there's something not quite right about this bird. The chest is too pale, silvery?, for a salmon faverolle. That comb is pretty funky too (I like the weird little sprig on the front, reminds me of a turkey)

Thank you. Looking at pictures I just wasn’t sure. I am very happy it’s a pullet even if not a pureblood.
