I've raised ringnecks for years. Last fall at a flea market a guy had a bunch of young red goldens for sale. He said they were about 3 monthss old. So now,he should be about 10 months. He has red coloring on the breast, but nowhere near the striking plumage Red Golds have. Does it take these birds a long time to mature or did he stick me with some crossbreed fake? Someone that knows please tell me.

It is better to post a picture of the bird according to me 10 months a bit quick for full mature wait about between 14-to 16 months I will say...?
