Did I just see the egg squat???

Yep, she should lay soon - how exciting! She'll like it if you put a couple of fingers on her back behind her neck (between her "shoulder/wing blades), and with the other hand stroke back to her tail. She'll lift her tail up, and when you let go she'll stand up and fluff and shake all her feathers....this is a good thing.

my golden comets started laying between 18 and 20 weeks,12 eggs from 12 hens everyday,,very seldom I don,t get 12

I've been trying to get her to do it again, but she hasn't. Please tell me that even once still counts?

Hmm...I guess I thought it was Ruby squatting, but I just found an egg in our shed, under one of the other Gold Links, Gertie. Maybe we'll be getting two eggs a day soon? Or not – the two girls look almost identical.
