i bought 5 bronze turkey hatching eggs yesterday and they were very dirty. I usually do not wash the eggs as i know it can take away their natural protection.
These eggs were so dirty that i had to. I used a pot brush in cool water. This morning i have gone to the eggs to set them as they were resting point down for 24 hours.
The bottom of the egg cases were wet and the eggs have been sat in a little puddle. I have dried them gently and set them in the incubator. Have i ruined their chances?
Rookie mistake i see but this is onmy my 4th hatch so am relatively new to this.
Any advice welcome x
