Did I make the situation worse?

I have a hormonal teenage rooster who has recently taken to trying to flog me. I've chased him, bribed him, walked into him and today when he tried it he got booted. After his somersault, he laid down. I'm wondering if I did more harm then good.
I've tried catching him to hold him, but no luck there. Any thoughts on if I did more harm than help or ways to catch him and force love on him?
He's a good rooster to the ladies just hormonal.

So I just recommend when he comes chasing after you, grab him, pin his head on the ground, and hold his body there ( for about 30 seconds) . This shows him you are the dominant one. If it doesn’t work the first time, do it every time he comes after you until it works. And then it should get better from there. It has worked for people I know with mean/hormonal roosters. And always make yourself a positive person in his eyes, with treats, and stuff like that.

Attacking you?

Bye, bye rooster.

You could end up with an ER visit as other BYCers have experienced from a deep leg wound caused by a rooster.

No rooster is worth that stress or experience.

Not to mention what could happen if another person helps or cares for your animals.

Oh, and little kids are at eye level for attack.

Just my thoughts. We’ve had many a rooster. We have tolerated a rooster with some aggression until another was old enough to step into flock leader role. But, it’s stressful. So much better when the rooster isn’t aggressive to humans.

I would agree with others, either sell him and tell whoever buys him HE IS AGGRESSIVE or the alternative which I never recommend which is away with his life. As stated there is far to many good roosters that need homes. I was blessed to have a VERY sweet rooster which I Dumbly bought from a lady who just said "here thus one is a white silkie'' and in the transport crate he went, this was before I new about AGGRESSIVE boys. Thankfully my boy is SOOOOO SWEET
