Did I miss something?

We have 2 red Production hens and 1 white leghorn hen. But this afternoon I found 2 small white eggs in the box. What in the world happened here? I'm sure I did not miss any eggs to account for the 2nd one.

Any ideas? Is it possible she laid a 2nd egg? Or am I just slacking? Very curious....

In my experience, it is possible for a chicken to lay two eggs in one day. It isn't very common, but it can happen when a chicken is just starting to lay, or if they are getting more lighting then is usual.
