Did I put my Duck eggs in lock down too early?

I'm still not getting this whole thing? I have 2 more eggs now doing the same thing. The air cell is getting larger on the opposite side than it started. Looks like the air cell keeps taking a bit out of the membrane or yoke or what ever, and spitting only some back out. The first eggs air cell is in the floor of the bator now. what happened to all the whatever? This is the most bizarre thing! If I was ever to attempt this again, I would have to make some modifications to the bator. Like NO viewing obstructions and a built in flash light that didn't have to go through the plexi glass! People like me can't handle such stress!!
