Did I ruin my hatch?

Hey there, going for hatch round 2. I got a 40% hatch rate for my first batch and I am starting again today. I put the eggs in and the temp wouldn't go past 90 (the eggs made it colder and I made the rookie mistake of cranking the heat to compensate). Basically the temp went up to 105 for an hour or so. I've been told that won't hurt because it takes longer for the eggs internal temp to change. Am I ok? Temp is back down to 100 now. Thanks

There's a good chance they'll be ok, providing your thermometer is accurate and wasn't more than that. No guarantees, but the best you can do is keep them going for the next 4-5 days and candle for development.

You are probably OK. NEVER readjust the thermometer the first 24 hours after adding the eggs---as you seen. Better keep a close eye on the temp at least for a complete day or two. What happen to cause the 40% hatch? Did you figure that out or crack any of the non-hatched eggs to see what stage they were in?
