Well, I wasn't going to do chickens any longer and sold all my supplies, coop and gave my chickens to my neighbor last year. But spring has come around and I miss those poopers. What drove the decision is that my local farm had black astralorp pullets - I had not seen astralorps around here for a long time - they are my favorite breed. So two beauties are now residing in a cheap coop and hubby is building a nice, sturdy pen for the girls. They seem very happy to be involved in all his work, hanging around him all day. I think they know who they had to butter up. They are about 20 weeks so we should start getting eggs soon.
