Did it make a sex link?

Have have some chicks hatching and three of the babies came out black with whit dots on their heads. Mom is a black giant and dad is a white rock. Are they sex link?

I don't think that combination will produce sexlinks. Generally it is a roo with a dark (brown/red) gene and a hen with a silver factor. The pullets will hatch being dark like the roo and the males will hatch being light like the hen.

If you use a dark roo with a barred rock hen then you get the black sexlink.
