Did It!

Well this one couldn't walk and didn't eat at all yesterday, and it had no food the night before, so I'm inclined to think it was without food for atleast 12 hours...likely closer to 24. The crop was actually sort of hard to find.

Question though for the experienced processors. When we took out the windpipe and the esphogus, one of them had blood in it. This was after we removed the head. There was only maybe an inch or two of blood in the tube up in the neck, not all the way down into the bird. We thought it was a huge vein at first. Does this mean that he cut the windpipe or the esphogus when he cut the cartoid?
