Did my cactus make viable seeds?

So I bought a little cactus from Walmart maybe 6-9 months ago. It has little pink “fruits”. I just pulled one off that had shriveled and it seems to have little seeds in it! How would I go about germinating and growing them?

I have never done such, but here is an idea that works to check seeds if they are good.
In a shallow container, like a jar lid, place piece of paper towel, just smaller than bottom surface. add water to make paper towel wet, enough to have wet on top of towel.
Drop a few seeds onto wet paper towel. Take a light tissue, like TP, and cut a few squares about ½ inch by ½ inch. Cover about ½ of your seeds, and the rest let them be uncovered. This is experimental stage. Make sure that the seeds, and paper towel stay moist all the time, but not drowned. Does not need to be in the sun, but ideally in warm home on shelf.
Now give it time. Not sure how long until germination will happen.
If germination happens, you will see a tiny root start to grow.
Try to use rainwater, not city water that may have chlorine in it.
If your seeds do germinate, transfer then onto potting soil, and maintain moisture. You may want to dust top of seeds with a very thin layer of potting soil medium.
If your seeds sprout, and start to show green growth , you can offer some sunlight, on a window sill.

WISHING YOU BEST OF LUCK,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :frow
