My 3 y/o duck is physically challenged and doesn’t get around as quickly as your average duck, so she lives in her own pen, separate from the free range chickens so that I can be sure that she gets to eat and such. I’ve been letting her out in the morning this week to free range and putting her back in her pen in the evenings to spend the night and eat.
Well this evening, when we went to put her away, she was in her water in her pen with a big wound on the back of her head.
Do you think our chickens could have done this to her? The only other animals we have are two goats, 4 pigs(that she was not exposed to), that’s it.
