Did she drown?

DH said that while I was at work it stormed and I dont know if he found her during or after it but he said she caughed and spit out some blood and what looked like water...? She was fine before the storm hit but didn't go back to the tractor with the others when the rain started.

We lost another one too...a few hours later unknown cause...

She could have aspirated and stressed and died. That's what it sounds like. I lost a bird once like that too.

Sorry for your loss how old was she?

I have lost a few young chicks due to rain storms this year

Well I dont know exactly but they said she was about a year old when I got her. I have another injured bird...probably a broken leg, this chicken stuff isnt supposed to be really difficult-- we have lost 5 birds in as many months to various things. we are thinking of slaughtering the remaining 4 and starting over with chicks. I'm just so frustrated with it all, but I love having them and watching them...
