My guess would be that she got hurt when the cat was chasing them and she hid it until she couldn’t anymore.

yeah she will be staying in my roomYesterday a cat chased the ducks, and you fought with your stepfather--I am more inclined to blame the cat! Or to blame something that happened while you were not looking (like the cat coming back.)
No matter what caused the problems, I think you are doing the right thing by letting the duck rest in a safe place, and offering her food and water.
and actually I know it does not give me the right to hurt anyone. you know how people have seizures? it comes randomly and cannot be controlled. that is how my meltdowns are and i blackout so i can not help what i do during that timeThe orange cat that chased everyone before could have come back to chase or hurt the ducks again. Unless he is a violent man, don't blame your stepdad. As a step parent myself, it can be challenging but you don't want to hurt your step children or anything. You love them like your own children. Are you getting help for your aspergers? Having aspergers does not give you the right to hurt your step dad either. I encourage you to get help if you aren't already. Good luck!

she is getting worstI was wondering about that too.
And the cat could have caused this while chasing: the duck might have gotten bruised but didn't show it until later, and might also have stiff muscles today.
I saw them beat the dog once that is why I was suspicious. But just like another person's duck, it healed over night like nothing ever happenedI would say this and only this. Unless you actually have seen the person in question hurt animals on purpose then assume they didn't do it. Then focus on the duck your anger/suspicsion is not helping the duck heal.
she got better overnight! ❤I agree if you haven't seen him hurt the duck, it may be best emotionally for everyone if you assume he didn't hurt the duck. Twice I've had mysterious injuries occur to members of my flock, and I know it wasn't a human. It couldn't have been the other birds, a self-inflected injury, who knows.
I truly hope the best for your little duck. It's obvious you love her and are doing the best for her, which is rest and isolation. Good luck!
So good to hear!!she got better overnight! ❤![]()
