Did the breeder know what she was doing??? Breed help please

Possible breeds were, Blue or Black Copper Marans, Cuckoo Marans, Dominiques (although they weren't what I wanted, they were in the bin she was pulling from), Blue Laced Orpingtons, Blue Orpingtons. I did also get an EE, I know what that one was, I pulled it and I think it's a pullet~ yay!
The barred ones look like barred rocks to me...except they have mottled black on their legs, and I don't see a single comb, So I can guess, dominiques...Barred rocks have a single comb as do marans...but dominiques have a rose comb...the chicks are also said to sometimes have black shading on the front of their legs. So dominiques...

I can tell Opingtons by the Buff coloring more so than anything else, so can't recognize Orpingtons of a different color..

the first chick could be a marans, but the coloring seems a little off, but it has feathered feet, but the legs aren't the right color. They look yellow in the pic, and they should be white..What sort of comb on chick number one?

Anyway I think that is all I can help with.

Except to say as for sex it is too young to tell on some of them, most of them, but the barred birds all look female with female coloring to me.

The funny thing is that I asked this woman if she had Barred Rocks, her add was just for Marans. My husband wanted Barred Rocks and I wanted Marans, so I thought some Cuckoo Marans might work. She said she had a few of those as well as Dominiques. I did get two Barred Rocks the other day. 1 mnth old and sweet girls.

I don't think your chicks pictured are barred rocks because of the lack of single comb, but that also kicks them out of being marans.

From what i have read the leg color on the Blue Orpington is spot on...and it might be right on the Blue Laced, but I can't seem to find anyone with any pictures of their feet..
I think chick 2 is a dominique, and chick 3 appears to have a single comb, so is probably a cuckoo marans..I'm trying here...ok..compile all my last posts and that's what I've figured out.

I'll try more pics later lol. They really aren't that good. Last night I looked at their feet and they aren't yellow, but more of a pink with dark shading on them. Most of their combs are straight, just a little buried. Hmmmm.
Well I am a bit more encouraged in the chicks I got, many of you have mentioned certain chicks being the breeds she claimed them to be, so that's something.

Yeah, I wouldn't be upset at all if I was you. They look good. At least now you know a reliable place to get chicks...

Buyer beware~Chicken fever has it's cost... yadayadayadayada. All that aside,my experience with the breeder that I got these chicks from was.... hmmmm interesting. Without going into it all, my concern is did I get what I paid for? The following pics are 6 chicks that I need help with on confirming their breeds. I know what I was supposed to get, but not sure. Any input on sex would be great. I am pretty sure that one is a roo, although she assured me that they were all pullets. *sigh*

Chick #1 looking female with that tail, also has feathered legs

Chick #1

Chick #1 about 2+wks old

Chick #2 1+wks old, not much of a tail

Chick #2

Chick #3 my guess is roo~ BOO! he does have personality as you can see. 2+wks old

Chick #3

Chick #3

Chick #4 nice spot on head and a little bit of a tail 1+wks old

Chick #4

Chick #5 I want this one to be a pullet sooooo bad, but the lack of tail has me sad. 2+wks

Chick #5

Chick #5

Chick #5

Chick #6 so pretty and such a mouth. I do have a tuft of a tail though. 2+wks old

Chick #6

Chick #6

Thanks for any and all help. My chick buying is done for this season....I think <3
so here's what I'm thinking, after everyone's input and considering straight/rose combs.
#1 is either a French Black or Blue Copper Marans (straight comb feathered feet)
#2 is a Dominique (rose comb, barred wings)
#3 is a Cuckoo Marans (stright comb, barred wings)
#4 is a Dominique (rose comb, barred wings)
#5 is a Blue Orpington (stright comb, blue & cream color)
#6 is a Blue Laced Orpington (straight comb with blue coloring)

I had asked for 3 Cuckoo Marans, 1 or 2 French Blue Copper Marans, 1 Blue Orp, 1 BL Orp. All were to be pullets *sigh*
On the good side, they all seem healthy and I got some of what I asked for. as to the "He" and "She" of it all, we'll see.
