Did they drown?

I was a day late for lockdown and only 50% hatched. I noticed the rest were full developed execept for the belly. Do you think they drowned?

That happened to me with my first hatch. I never knew what happened but I had a lot of fully formed beautiful chicks that just never even tried to get out of their shells.

Most of them still had external yolks.
