Did this chick embryo perish??

Hi, I'm trying to incubate 7 silkie eggs, and I have one that is a few days a head of the other six. A few days ago, I could see its veins and the embryo very well, but now it looks like this?? Is this whats called a "blood ring"? I really don't know, I just need some help here.

I don't exactly know when this one's hatch date is, cause I had a lot of trouble finding a heat source for this egg for awhile. What exactly is a blood ring?? Doses that mean it died?


For thee other six eggs though, their hatch date is the 11/12th of Aug.

It does mean it died. The blood from the veins is pooling now. Good luck with the other 6!
