Chick Brooder Heating Plate 12 x 12 Comfort Plate Keep your Chicks Warm! 22 Watt

The Comfort heating plate mimics a mother hen by allowing chicks to gather under the plate and keep warm. The heating plate provides a steady, comfortable temperature surface chicks can contact and is rated at 22 watt compared to a standard 175/250 watt heat bulb, which means it costs less to operate than a standard heat lamp setup. Adjustable legs allow you to raise the plate to accommodate the chicks as they grow. A heating plate will also help chicks "harden off" and begin to grow their feathers quicker leading to a healthier bird. Suitable for chickens, ducks, pheasant and quail.

Features & Benefits:
- Mimics mother nature by providing a heat source chicks can gather under like a mother hen
- Adjustable legs allow height to be adjusted as chicks begin to grow
- Heat plates help chicks "harden off" quicker and start growing feathers leading to a healthier bird
- Costs less to operate than a standard heat lamp setup (22 watt vs. 175/250 watt)
- Dual Safety Features: 0.5 Amp resistance fuse and 248°F temperate fuse

Use with the Comfort Heating Plate Cover to prevent chicks from getting on top of the plate and creating a mess with droppings. Cover sold separate, not included with heating plate.
