Im sorry your intro didnt go well. As stated before, you should always quarantine new chickens for at least 30 days. After that time, you can put them in a cage, inside the coop where they can be seen, but not hurt for a few weeks. Sometimes we have to learn through our own mistakes. Im so sorry you lost the hen.
