Josie Josie Josie the young light Brahma of mine who loves to lay on anything soft especially if its close to me or if I am in the middle of using the material she claimed as hers
She is the cuddliest little thing though.
She looks pleased as punch doesn't she

Awww!!!!... lucky folks that get the sweet chickens:rant... I have held all of mine every day from day 1 and all but one still don't want to be near me:hmm.... but.. when I do catch my silkie she sits on my shoulder and cuddles!!! it is sooo cute!!! she rubs her fluffy head under my neck! I guess it is just the initial touch that is the big deal:idunno

Well if I pulled back the camera a bit you would see my disinfectant wipes there just incase. Lol

Most chickens are sweet in their own way. Most of my chickens have been either hatched by me and spent most of everyday with me in my office as i work from home.
The other few I bought but they also spent most of their time in my office until they were ready to go out.
My NH red and cuckoo maran are sweet but don't lile cuddling

My cochin bantam very much enjoy being loved up on . and my white crested black polish freaks out when you touch her because she can't see
Once she realizes its me she cuddles up to me or she normally just jumps on me

Josie is one I hatched and she was a lone egg so it was just her and me she would follow me to the bathroom or stand at the top of the stairs yelling for me if I went downstairs

Then I just hatched 5 bantam chicks . Josie has become their big sis they are sweet still little skiddish though

I have also spend time just sitting with my chickens and ducks that are outside just to relax after work
So they see me alllllll the time

My kids are all grown so this is what i do now lol

I have no kids (not over 18) but these are my little cuties.. they get VERY spoiled.... they were in my bedroom 24-7 after I got them (as chicks) and I hold them all the time!!! most are very sweet after im holding them, but 2 of them still freak out.... (they were some older chicks that I rescued from a TERRIBLE feed store... (they almost died) but my Aspen actually runs up when I call her name and is not scared to be touched AT ALL! P.S. she just laid me my first egg!!!!!!:duc:clap:drool:celebrate:eek::th:ya:yesss::highfive::jumpy:bun:love:bow:wee:D:D;):lau:gig

I just recently went back to work (part time) after being retired for two years. I spend (or spent) a lot of time with my chickens. Now they almost seem lost.
My leghorn Judy (my favorite baby) at first was MAD!! She would come over to me sitting on my chair and kick rocks on me (brat).
It’s been 2 weeks now and she’s now realllly missing me in the yard. Everytime I sit she’s up on my lap. When I put her down (to change the water) she follows me till I sit again. They all miss me. And I miss them. Chickens are just wonderful creatures. As in all pets the time you invest in them it shows in the return of affection ... mine are very affectionate.
I just love em....

Yay on her first egg!!!
My cuckoo maran Hazel became more comfortable with being held and patted after laying her first egg. Which was like 2 weeks ago

When I just had my 2 chickens they would run to me when I called. Which made me laugh watching them run from up the road
They would also run to the car when I pulled in the driveway and stand at tbe door lol
