Didn't receive shipment!!!! what do I do???

I ordered 15 chicks from cackle. I was supposed to recieve them 7/18 and just got them today. 4 were DOA the post office screwed up they sent them to the wrong processing center.

I ordered some ducks from welp---they all arrived on time and in good health.I ordered some chicks from mcmurray----same deal. Now I have ordered from Ideal--I hope everything goes good with these. But I prob. will never order from Cackle after googling them and reading the comments. I know there is bad experiences with all hatcheries but I just don't feel comfortable with them.

That good news that there were no chicks waiting somewhere to be delivered. Why on earth didn't they let you know your shipment was delayed?

I have no clue. I hope this was a one time incident with them. It wouldn't have taken but a minute to email me with a new shipping date. I think I have lost 10 lbs. worrying about them over the weekend.

After all of this non sense going on with hatcheries that I've been reading about I've decided not to go through a hatchery... I am going to see about ordering eggs from a respected BYCer instead. Today we are going to take the Rooster chick back to the place we got him from and I am going to see if they are interested in going on some eggs with me. Or else I fear I'll never be able to afford to buy some eggs I can hatch!

For every bad story you hear about a hatchery, theres are literally thousands and thousands of good stories that you DONT hear about. Dont let one or two bad stories deter you from buying from hatcheries. Ive ordered from McMurray for years and have had great luck and great customer service.

Thanks guys for being there with me. If I tell someone that I will do something such and such day and time, they can expect it to come through or let them know otherwise. I guess I just expect the same in return.
