Well, I did see it coming a long time ago. No surprises here. And you dont want to know why so I wont tell you.

It's only a matter of time until the technology becomes affordable. It's available now just not affordable. For example, RFID chips will be on every item in the supermarket just like the bar codes are now. I remember when we used to stamp prices with ink stampers, then we went to price stickers, the the UPC bar codes were scanned (like now) and in the future, tiny RFID chips will be on every package. When you are finished shopping you will simply push your basket through a reader, kind of like todays airport metal detectors and a total will display....oh, and your personal chip will instantly pay the bill electronically.

People thought the UPC bar codes being automatically scanned instead of a cashier keying in the price was something almost unthinkable....now it's the norm. RFID will be the norm in the near future.....
